Description
Cyprus, Greece, ca 6th to 5th century BCE. Very fine limestone bust of a goddess. Her head is slightly tilted to her right, large almond eyes, high cheekbones and pursed lips - these with red paint still present. She wears her hair in a tight bun with diadem adorning her head. Traces of her necklace visible on the right side of her neck. Remains of red pigment in her hair, on her lips and on her neck. Gorgeous example! Includes custom marble stand. Size: 5"H, not including stand.
