Description
William Glen Davis, (American (Pennsylvania), 20th century). An openwork sculpture composed of narrow iron rods welded together to form a tall dimensional cage, the rods intersecting each other and some jutting out beyond the matrix, the sculpture mounted to a square wooden plinth. Approximately 31.5" tall, base 8.25" wide x 8.375" deep. Note: Glen Davis was a founding member of "Group A", a group of artists whose goal was to advance abstract art in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the mid 20th century. An accountant by trade, Davis pursued his art in forms of painting, kinetic mobiles, and bronze sculpture.
