Description
After Frederic Sackrider Remington (American,1861-1909), "The Mountain Man"-originally cast in 1903, patinated bronze figural sculpture, naturalistic base with "Copyright by Frederick Remington" above stamped "12 500" likely for limited edition. 20th century copy after the master's original depicting an American West figural group comprising of a man in fringed chaps and fur cap riding on a horse with weapons and rolled pack or blanket going down a steep rocky expanse, presumably a mountain. Sculpture raised on a shaped black marble plinth base. Overall approximate height 28.5", width 11.75", depth 12.5".
