A late Victorian 18ct gold five-stone gem-set ring. The replacement cushion-shape garnet and synthetic ruby line, with diamond point spacers, to the openwork gallery. Four diamond points deficient. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Weight 4gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. All the principal gemstones are replacement stones. The gallery detail is heavily worn. The claw settings have worn thin and will need attention. Band has thinned. Ring size N 1/2.
