6th-9th century AD. A pair of belt mounts comprising: one a silver shield-shaped panel with central rectangular plaque, filigree border and granule chevrons; one a gold disc with scrolled beaded wire and granules in a U-shaped silver frame with granules. 7.70 grams total, 21-23mm (3/4-1"). From the collection of a North West London gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. [2]
