Description
COPTIC TEXTILE FRAGMENT - A Large Portion of the lower edge of a Man's Tunic, Ancient Coptic Egypt, c. 5th - 7th Century AD. Loom woven wool, with a dark brown central register containing various animals and human figures within a tongue border. One bit of red bordered vent lower left. Roughly 18" x 29" fragment. Mounted on 25" x 34" cotton sheeting covered stretcher. Good condition.
