A Victorian painted beech chair back sette, circa 1890, after a design by Thomas Hepplewhite, painted with flowers in the neoclassical taste throughout, the twin oval back with radiating bar splats, each centred by an oval panel painted with a cherub amongst clouds, the serpentine shaped arms above a caned seat and button upholstered loose cushion, above a conforming painted frieze and square section tapering legs, 96cm high, 94cm wide, 55cm deep
