Description
A large Colima 4-note flute, West Mexico, c. 100 BC - AD 250, long and tubular in shape with a narrow mouth, the four holes for the notes in an even row, a small quadruped decorates the top about a third of the way down its length. Single repair, nicely burnished tan glossy surfaces. L: 14 in (35.5 cm). Ex Dr. John Hilsabeck estate, Orange County.
