Ivory Noble Man’s Cane-Ca. 1880-L-shaped ivory handle carved in high relief and finest detail with a noble family crest between a beaded ring and a collar in the shape of a belt with buckle, malacca shaft and a 2 ½” long ivory ferrule. Top rate quality cane rumored to have had a lengthy affair with Empress Sissi of Austria and deserves further academic research for exact identification.-H. 6” x 3 ½”, O.L. 34 ¾”.-$600-$900

The ivory Loxodonta Africana in this cane complies with pre-cites and the Endangered Species Act 1973 which are currently the law in the United States. It is our opinion that this cane was made before 1973 and the ivory has not been repaired or altered.
