Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Teotihuacan, ca. 200 to 600 CE. A very fine and rare pottery mask from this major power of southern Mexico. Molded mask in typical Teotihuacan triangular form with slit eyes, realistic nose and mouth, wide headband across forehead, left ear remaining in good detail. Custom stand. Size: 6" x 5".
