South America, probably Bolivia, ca. 1st half of 20th century. Sterling silver lion made of hollow sheet. The lion carries a long cross and pendant and wears a silver crown with cross affixed atop. He stands upon a silver base decorated with raised stones. A striking example! Size: weighs 335 grams (11.81 ounces) and marked 925; 6-3/4"L x 5-3/4"H.
