The secretary bookcase with intricate, open-work Gothic motif carved throughout, surmounted by a entablature with dental and quatrefoil decoration, reticulated doors with brass handles open to a slender, mirrored interior with a shelf, flanking Palladian-style doors, each opening to a slender compartment, above a drop-front desk with leather writing surface and mirrored interior, above four short drawers, with flanking stepped columned shelves with carved stork motif to the lower shelves and architectural base with reticulated apron, raised on casters.
