WE SHIP! The AEAA is very proud to present this gorgeous pair of antique German porcelain hand painted & gilded transfer ladies portrait plates. The first is a scarce Leni Parbus Imperial cover-up mark Raven haired mother & child portrait, from an original oil painting by the immortal Viggie Lebrun. Leni Parbus started a decorating porcelain as a hobby in the 1890’s, but opened her own decoration studio located in Oberkotzau, Thuringia, Germany in 1904. This excellent condition 1920s plate carries the Imperial Germany Stamp, used from ca. 1919-1936. We also have a special hand gilded, and enhanced floral country flower girl from the Porcelain Factory Merklesgrun, carrying the 4 leaf clover in circle stamp, used from 1912-1918. There is also an unidentified Bindenshild (beehive) stamp. It is in VG condition, with 1 short tight glaze contained line and a shallow under-glaze and unobtrusive spider.
