An early 20th century garnet and diamond hinged bangle. Of openwork design, the cushion-shape garnet line, within a rose-cut diamond collet and scalloped edge surround, to the graduated rose-cut diamond sides and plain half-bangle. Inner diameter 5.7cms. Weight 20gms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Possibly of continental origin. Some possible replacement stones. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Garnets medium purplish-red and brownish-orange, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
