Description
A late 19th century gold diamond and onyx brooch. The old-cut diamond, atop a rose-cut diamond foliate motif, inset to the onyx disc and engraved Greek-key surround. Principal diamond estimated weight 0.15ct. Diameter 3.1cms. Weight 13.4gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Diamond fairly well matched. Diamonds fairly bright. Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones. Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
