A Highly Important Ancient Early Islamic Bone or Wood Handled Dagger With Bronze Dagger , Probably 8th to 11th Century , Probably Abbasid or Seljuk & Ghaznavid , Very Early Type Dagger , Unique Piece , dagger is an extremely early and rare example of a courtly piece of weaponry. It is a remarkable survival: very few extant examples of such daggers are known to exist, and, of the small number of surviving pieces, an even smaller number are decorated with such astonishingly intricate and beautiful inlaid designs , This dagger, which still retains its original wood/bone hilt, has an ornate curved steel or Bronze blade , There Might possibly be any inscription or Images under the patina or the dirt which is on the blade , A Similar Piece can be Found in Sothebys Islamic Arts Auction but with Silver & Gold Inlaid Which was Estimated for 500,000 to 700,000 GBP .
