Lackawanna Lamp Cookie Cutter Top Blue Peek Holes

Item Details

Description

An unusual older lamp with a cookie cutter top and wire bail. It stands just 12" tall (without the bail) and the width and depth are just 4 1/2". The oval windows are 6" by 3". The oval panels are really rectangles held in place by crimps in a narrow slide on the sides. The opposing sides have small round blue peek holes. Is this an early gate lamp? It sure looks like a Dressl product but it is not marked. It has the tag soldered on one side with the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad initials above one oval opening. The fount slides in and out on a crimped slider. It has a Simplex brass burner. This lamp displays very nicely and I've never seen one like it.
