Description
Bobby Darin Handwritten Love Letter to Connie Francis from the Dick Clark Collection, in Framed Display with Original 45 Records. A one-page 8.25" x 10.75" letter on Hotel Wolverine (Detroit) stationery addressed to "Connie" with a double-underlined closing of "I love you & miss you", signed "Love Bobby". He mentions that his show is being held over, that he is trying to be a "good boy." Every two or three line he has inserts "I miss you". You would have to say that he was quite in love with Miss Francis. The letter is double matted and framed to an overall 28.25" x 20" with separate 45 records and picture sleeves: "You're the Reason I'm Living / Now You're Gone" by Darin and "Second Hand Love / Gonna Git That Man" by Francis (fairly appropriate titles). Also included in the collection is a copy of a 1962 Bobby Darin ticket, two facsimile Connie Francis autographs, and an engraved plaque that describes the letter: "20 year old Bobby Darin's handwritten love letter to singer Connie Francis. Also included is an invitation to Darin's funeral in 1973 at the much too young age of 37. Widely publicized hard documentation of this young love between these two budding icons of Pop music." Record labels faded, Francis sleeve torn. Letter Fine, scratch in glass. Overall Very Good.
