Description
An Egyptian wooden figure, Middle Kingdom, c. 2061 – 1690 BC, from a model depicting a scene from everyday life, the male figure is kneeling, wearing a short kilt, his hands together at his knees as he performs some kind of labor. Well=preserved with much of the original pigments preserved beneath earthen deposits. H: 6 7/8 in (17.4 cm). A nice example with no repair of restoration. Ex New Jersey estate.
