Description
In original tooled leather scabbard with ‘Collins & Co./Legitimus’ stamped on leather with company symbol of arm holding hammer emerging from crown. The scabbard has brass throat and drag and leather belt loop with name on throat ‘Henry’. The 15’ single edged steel bolo blade is stamped ‘No. 1005’, with two piece horn grips attached with four brass rivets, total length in scabbard 22â€. This is a type one bolo by Collins & Co. of Hartford Conn. Made for use during the Philippine Island Insurrection.
