Electrolier Chandelier from the Chicago Auditorium Building, 1886
Bronze with brown patina, electrical fixture
32-1/2 inches high x 30 inches diameter (82.6 x 76.2 cm)
PROVENANCE:
Crombie Taylor, 1957-1961;
Private Collection, Texas, acquired from above, 1967.
The first floor chandelier was removed from the Auditorium Building, on 430 S. Michigan Avenue, in 1957 by Crombie Taylor.

Note: The Auditorium Building was constructed between 1886-1889, with the addition of a seventh floor Ballroom and Banquet Hall in 1891. The building was excavated with Congress Street sidewalk renovation between 1955-1956, and now is the Rudolf Ganz Memorial Hall.
