Hendrick Goudt (Dutch, 1582-1630) Flight Into Egypt. Engraving on paper Sheet: 13.75" x 15.5"

This is trimmed to the borderline on the sides and at the top, and trimmed just into the tails of the letter below. There are three vertical flatened creases but with some splits towards the edge of the sheet. There are several short vertical tears in the upper edge and the upper right corner made up with an old engraving. The sheet is somewhat darkened with light foxing. Some of the splits and tears are backed with old glassine. En verso reads that it is from Chez Naudet and dated 1779 with a label of the Folio Society, London.
