Description
After Demetre Haralamb Chiparus (Romanian, 1886-1947), “Friends Forever” - originally cast circa 1928, cold painted bronze sculpture, incised “D.H. Chiparus” on base, metal plaque to base with title and artist name. Art Deco style figural sculpture depicting a young woman standing at center in green and gold accented gown with head downturned and hands extended above two elegant borzoi (Russian wolfhound) dogs in profile on a shaped base with gilt accented and recessed border further supported on a shaped black marble base. Overall approximate height 24.25”, width 29.75”, depth 10.75”.
