Description
Continental School, Late 19th/ early 20th century. Group of two miniature portraits of oval format depicting young women comprising one hand painted on porcelain depicting a Bavarian woman in white veil and traditional dirndl, unsigned; and a bust length portrait of a young woman with curled long hair wearing blue and white off-shoulder gown, signed "Yupig" at right. Bavarian porcelain miniature framed approximately 3.75" x 3.1", sight size approximately 3.125" x 2.4". Other miniature framed approximately 3" x 2.1", sight size approximately 1.9" x 1.5". Provenance: From the Estate of Mary L. Haugk, Lawrenceville, Georgia.
