A Jeanne Lanvin pale blue shirred silk evening gown, circa 1935-8, woven label pencil numbered to the back 22612, with ties to neck, figure-hugging with skirt formed from crin stiffened circle skirt, bust approx 86cm, 34in

1 x 2xm split, one small hole, dress has been washed so is a bit 'floppy'. Slight fraying to silk on side closure edge. Shirring has slackened at lower left side of bodice. Couple of tiny spot stains front left breast area (barely visible). Perspiration stains and fraying at right underarm. Bodice lining generally good, slight fraying in one place, centre front bone has been removed. 2 bones have been removed from front of bodice below bust areas. 2cm split in skirt front left side in shirred area. Skirt is generally clean in appearance – there are a couple of faint bleach marks but these are lost within folds. Seam below closure has been re-sewn 12cm. Shirring on skirt is generally good – the odd small slackened patches but nothing immediately noticeable. Label is detached at one end.
