Description

A very rare and important George Jones Majolica Neo-Classical garden seat c.1870, designed with three scroll legs with stylised white palm leaves with yellow highlights, the apron with stylised lotus plants and leaves, the top with a pierced centre and mottled glazes, all on a bright turquoise ground all on a canted corned triform base. This is the only known with the canted corner base. The original art work pg. 55 Dawes, 18 3/4"
