Hubcap style convex reverse glass corner sign for Schreier's Beer by the Konrad Schreier Co of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. This fantastic piece is likely one of a kind and as consigned by the descendants of the brewery owners, the lot includes documentation indicating such. Sign features excellent red, blue and gold colors with silver highlights. Central vignette features intricate interlocked logos of K S Co (for Konrad Schreier) with hops and wheat decorative wreath surround. Reverse painted design does have some flaking especially in red areas inside of Schreier's name but certainly is an incredibly rare piece that may never come to market again during our lifetimes. This piece has its original wooden corner mounting on the reverse though there was damage to it whenever it was removed ( see picture of the reverse side of sign ) Marked at bottom P. Pause & Co. Chicago. Size: 18" diameter. This lot also includes six period photographs showing images of the Schreier family and Herman Schreier who was President of the company after his father Konrad ( who founded the company in 1856 ). Photos are dated from 1900 to 1908.
