Description
VICTORIAN PAINT-DECORATED TILT-TOP TEA TABLE, the circular top with molded edge over a turned standard having baluster, urn, and ring-form elements, the whole raised on a tripodal base consisting of scrolled legs fitted with casters. Retains likely original decoration consisting of "Japanned" ornamentation, polychrome-painted figures, foliate embellishment, and gilt decoration against an ebonized ground. Circa 1860-1880. 30 1/4" H, 26 1/2" D.
