Description
HIROSHIGE JAPANESE UKIYO-E WOODBLOCK PRINTS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising four examples from "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido," Hoeido edition, Fujisawa, Mariko, Shimada, and Shirasuka, each signed, and an example most likely by Hiroshige II, signed upper right corner, depicting ships coming in to harbor matted and framed under glass. Probably later reprints. Together with a ukiyo-e woodblock post card. Six pieces total. Ando Hiroshige (Japanese, 1797-1858) or Hiroshige II (Japanese, 1829-1865). Probably early 20th century. Two examples 6" x 9" sight, one 6 5/8" x 9 3/4" sight, one 8 3/4" x 13 1/2" sight.
Condition
Very good condition overall, with good color, minimal toning, some with minor stains or foxing.
