Description
Two 19th century prints by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1798-1861), includes "Orio Mosuke Yasaharu" (the historical Horio Yoshiharu wrestling a boar), #23 from the series "Taiheiki eiyuden", signed with two censor seals (1847-1850) and originally published by Yamamoto Heikichi, 1848-1850, and a print of an actor kneeling, signed with two nanushi censor seals (1847-1848). Together with Utagawa Kuniaki II (1835-1888), "Sumo Wrestler Koyanagi Tsunekichi", signed with censor seal and publisher mark. Largest 37.3 x 25.6cm (14 3/4 x 10 1/8 in.).
