Description
French, 19th century. A carved and molded walnut commode with oak secondary wood comprising a molded top surmounting the two drawer door facade, each drawer with molded panels with cavetto curved edges, all centered by round patinated metal rondel backplates with ring pulls, flanked by rounded corners with molded corner panels, all over the cyma curved skirt decorated with central carved and molded ancient Egyptian boat motif flanked by two molded olive branches. Approximate height 36.25", width 49.25", depth 21.75". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
