Over that, a fur shoulder\'s cape is seen. This painting has several repairs visible on the reverse. On the reverse is a sticker in the former owner\'s hand writing \" Mrs. William Hull Gen Hull 1805-13 1st gov. gen of Michigan). Research lists Mrs. Hull and General Hull as having three daughters\" Ann Biney Hull Hickman, Elize Hull McCullman and Marie Hull Campbell. Of possible interest is the fact that Rembrandt Peale painted a portrait of General Hull. Peale dates: 1778-1860-His father was Charles Vincent Peale. The painting is expertly executed. Painting has been preserved, all over crazing. Image measures 26\" x 21 1/2\". Wood gilded frame 32\" x 27 1/2\". Copy of appraisal will be provided.
