Description
Unusual Rookwood Standard glaze low vase with small flowers and Chinese lanterns done by Luella Perkins in 1888. And I am not talking about the Chinese lantern flower but actual Chinese lanterns used for lighting. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 389, impressed S for Sage green clay and the incised monogram of the artist. Height is 3 inches and width is 5 inches. Fine overall crazing and a restoration to a small rim nick. Very unusual.
