Chinese, 19th century, Daoguang Period: deep bowl with gilt rim, finely decorated with Chinese city with ships at anchor, houses and warehouses, base with four-character Daoguang mark in underglaze red, mark on exterior below top rim in underglaze black, 2-7/8 x 6-1/2 in., [repaired crack around exterior of bowl;] saucer with scalloped border decorated [en suite,] three stylized bats, similar four-character mark in underglaze black on top portion of bowl, 1-1/8 x 5-5/8 in., [glaze anomaly] .
