French Louis XV Style Ormolu Mounted Parquetry Inlaid Mahogany Marble Top Breakfront Commode, c. 1900, in the transitional taste, the highly figured canted corner rectangular breakfront ocher marble over parquetry inlaid drawers flanked by inlaid sides to ormolu mounted chamfered stiles on cabriole legs with ormolu sabots joined by an ormolu mounted arched serpentine skirt, H.- 33 in., W.- 44 1/4 in., D.- 19 1/2 in.

As found. Marble top is split in two down the center. Moderate scratching is seen throughout the marble top, with several visible seams noted. Mild cracks are seen to veneer throughout the commode. An area of heavier scratching is seen to the center of the top drawer, with an approximately 2 inch strip of raised veneer seen along the left side of the same drawer. Ormolu sabots are slightly loose. A very few scattered spots of old worm damage are seen to the feet. A nice example. ALL PROPERTY IS SOLD "AS IS."
