A VICTORIAN SINGING BIRDS IN CAGE AUTOMATON. The gilt wire cage with dome top containing two mechanical wind-up birds each with moving heads, tail feathers and chirping action, raised on a wood base with spring wound movement, later floral form finial with suspension loop. Height 19 inches (48.2 cm).
