STERLING INKSTAND WITH BOTTLES, C. 1900, W 11 3/4":A sterling silver inkstand with shell, scroll and floral border, fitted with two cut glass ink bottles, H.3", centered by a hinged compartment for stamps engraved with a three-letter script monogram; the underside bears an unidentified maker's mark (see photo), along with "Sterling 65" and inscribed "William Prescott Bonbright". Measures H.1" x 11 3/4" x 8"; approximately 24.0 troy oz. weighable.

The center compartment has a repaired hinge; the cut glass bottles have chipped corners due to use and one mount is stamped "35 24" and, although not marked, are probably sterling silver; one mount is loose at the collar and has small dents and scratches. The bottle with the loose mount has a 1 1/2" rim chip.
