Composite view of the Hudson with three figures in a boat, oil on canvas, 14 x 18 in., signed “B. Hess. NY” lower right, relined, some areas of repaint near margins

Condition

Painting appears to be in very good condition. It shows even crackelure. Relined, likely in the mid-late 20th c. - looks to be the original stretcher. As mentioned in the listing it has very minor in-painting along the perimeter, no indication of major repairs. On verso we also find a Christie's label (ref.#GT101) 02 DEC 92 (Sale 7369) Lot #50.
