DESCRIPTION: Huong (Vietnamese/American, 20th C). Oil on canvas. Listen to Me. Seated lady with dove. Signed lower right. Unframed. In addition to being a self-taught artist, Huong is a former journalist, a Vietnam war refugee and a fervent peace activist. At the age of 25, she fled Vietnam in 1975 at the end of the war to the United States and launched an art career. She has had 85 solo exhibits throughout America and Canada over the last thirty years. PROVENANCE: Purchased by consignor's parents at Ryals Gallery, Boca Raton, Florida in 1994. MEASUREMENTS: 60"x 47-1/2". CONDITION: Minute chip to paint at bottom edge.
