This is a unique pair of lattice window panels with simple elegant lines. They were found in a house in the Fujian mountains on the southeast coast of China. The house was dated to the 17 century. These panels have been stripped clean, and the intricate designs really show. Whoever designed these panels knew something of air flow. The vertical pieces are tapered, wider at the bottom and smaller on top. The dimensions is for one screen - 14.5 inches wide, 1.25 inches thick and 43 inches high. The panels were purchased from an old town a few hours west of Fuzhou where there were Ming Dynasty houses left standing. The dating of these panels is 18 century or older.

In good condition, stripped and cleaned, a tiny bit of loss on some of the vertical lines,
