Description
Circa 1910 pair of officer's epaulettes for the Westfalen 56th Field Artillery Regiment, pre-WWI. Red doeskin wool base with stiff interior, alum litzen with black Prussian stripes, polished metal “crescent moon,†individually die struck “56†with bullion-textured details, standard single Oberleutnant pip. Stitched button hole. Appear period private purchase quality. Measure 6 x 4.5 inches each. We are happy to offer in-house shipping for all but very large or very fragile items. Some international orders my need to be handled by a third party shipper. Handling and materials fees begin at $7 per box for items under 12 inches. Larger or more valuable items and those that warrant double boxing will have higher material costs.
Condition
Negligible mothing in the knap of one (but no holes), other unaffected. Normal toning to litzen, individual numbers, pips and crescent.
