Description
James Earle Frazer (1871-1941). The plaque depicts a full facial image of TR with one of his favorite expressions inscribed on it. The expression expressed in block letters is: "I wish to preach not the doctrine of strenuous life, the life of toil & effort, of labor & strife; to preach that the highest form of success that comes not to the man who desires new ease & peace, but to him who does not shrink from danger, hardship or bitter toil, & who out of the wins the splendid ultimate triumph". The plaque is signed on the bottom edge in script Theodore Roosevelt and signed on the bottom edge of the plaque J.E. Fraser. Weighing around six pounds, this plaque is in very good condition. Size 7'' x 12''
