Marcel Breuer (1902-1981) for Thonet, B33 chair, Germany, 1930s, tubular steel with painted surface, lacquered cane, unsigned, 21.5"w x 26"d x 31.5"h

The chair is definitely vintage production and shows age and normal wear consistent with use over time. The frame is painted gray; there appears to be a light green finish under the gray paint. All metal footpads are intact. The caning is original. There is a significant repair to the seat at the front right (facing the chair). The repair has been done with thread and string and is holding but it is approximately 3" to 4" in diameter and therefore noticeable. Sturdy and structurally sound. The caning is usable.
