Printed by Mark A. Vieira” (Reprinted in the 1990's from the original 1933 camera negative). This portrait was made to publicize the 1933 film Dancing Lady. The vintage camera negative was reprinted in the 1990s by Hurrell’s biographer. This silver gelatin print was processed, washed, and dried in accordance with archival standards established by the Eastman Kodak Corporation. If mounted and framed with acid-free materials, it will last a minimum of one hundred years. This image was printed in the 1990s using the exact technique and style of its first printing. Mark A. Vieira learned the science and art of custom printing from Hollywood photographers Edd Hearn, Procopio Calado, Ted Allan, Laszlo Willinger, Clarence Bull, and George Hurrell.
