Description
Made by Albert Feigl Philadelphia - Patented 1875 Feigl appears to have been an industrious inventor. His targets of inspiration varied widely, from improvements to housewares such as an apple peeler and lampshades to toy money banks. This Liberty Bell Bank was made for sale as a souvenir at the Centennial Fair staged in Philadelphia in 1876. Because of its extreme rarity, it is very coveted by bank collectors. In fact, fewer than five of these banks are known to exist. The present example was recently found among the belongings of an old time toy collector. Material: Cast Iron
