Description
Asian Amber Plaque with Tassel.
This amber plaque has characters and script on either side surrounded by a decorative border. There are two peach colored beads on either end of the plaque along with some small pearl and peach colored beading. The tassel is gold with a red pattern.
Stone Size*: 42.5mm wide X 60.1mm tall X 6.6mm deep.
Bead Size*: 8.6mm - 8.9mm
Weight*: 12.77 dwt (19.8g)
* All measurements are approximate.
Note: For centuries, gemstones have been treated to enhance their appearance. The very act of cutting and polishing a gemstone can be considered a treatment. Some of these treatments are temporary, and some are permanent. Which treatment(s) are used on a gemstone depends on the gemstone itself and the desired enhancement. These treatments include, but are not limited to: heating, oiling, irradiation, dyeing, impregnation & stabilization, bleaching, coating, diffusion, filling, and laser drilling. At Oakridge Auction Gallery, we strive to disclose all known treatments to diamonds and gemstones. However, some treatments are not readily detectable. Please assume that ALL diamonds or gemstones are treated in some way, whether described or not. Condition: The plaque has a crack that has been glued. It has several small chips along the edges and one large chip on the upper portion. It is missing some small beads. The tassel is in good condition. Provenance: From a Virginia Estate. Additional Pictures: High resolution images can be found at https://file.ac/QWuZ8IaRZGg/
