10.25" t x 13.25" w photo circa late 1940's, of Branch Rickey (1881-1965) with Jackie Robinson. Branch Rickey was an innovative major league baseball executive elected to the baseball Hall of Fame in 1967. One of his notable achievements was breaking major league baseball's color barrier by signing African Amer. player Jackie Robinson. He was also responsible for the first full time spring training facility in Florida and encouraged the use of now-common place tools, such as the batting cage, pitching machines and helmets. The autograph has been deemed genuine by PSA DNA Authentication Services, Nov. 2015. Condition - very good, but with some puncture marks to the photo.
