In this 18th Century hand colored engraving, we get a glimpse of the tools and techniques used by 18th Century Roofers.. This print would be a great gift for anyone in the building trades! The print is made from a copper plate engraving from the publication of Dennis Diderot's landmark Encyclopedie in France. Diderot (1713-84) began the work on the compendium in 1745. The print is matted in acid-free materials and installed in a c.2000 decorative gold frame. A label on the back identifies the print dealer in Bethesda, Maryland. Print size is 9.5" x 13.5", and the frame size is 17.5"x21.5".
