Description
Signed "JC" John Choko art glass paperweight depicting black and orange salamander sitting on bed of multicolored sand, 2" H. Cholo born in Millville in 1935, died 1991. In 1991, Gay Taylor, Curator, Museum of American Glass in Wheaton Village, said that Choko "made weights just for the love of it." She added, "He was an extremely talented artist. Choko earned a reputation for versatility – from his mastering of the Millville rose to a salamander or a snake. He was thrilled by the challenge of experimentation. Note - over 150 paperweights selling in this auction, many selling in multiple lots.
