Description
An early Victorian silver desk ink stand, the shaped base having shell moulded and reeded rim supporting three central removable apertures, the whole raised upon four shell and acanthus leaf feet. Hallmarked Robinson, Edkins & Aston, Birmingham 1837. Length measures 9 4/8 inches (24 cm), gross weight 14.36 ozt (446.6 grams). (Lacking bottles).
Condition
No bottles are present. Displaying general wear, surface scratches and marks, also some minor nicks or pitting marks. Hallmarks present to all components and with minor rubbing but still clear and legible. Duty mark of William IV.
